SHAMONE!

Mama Shamone that is!

According to their bio this "London four-piece have created a unique style of hard rock cut with dance beats and biting lyrics and have been compared to Joy Division, Sex Pistols and early Madonna"; in the process.

With tunes that run the rambit of topics (sex, violence, depression, obsession, bitchiness & coprophilia - including a track about phone sex with your grandpa) this certainly isn't a band for the faint of heart. However what you can count on is catchy hooks and wicked dance basslines. Their double A side single Over/ You Got Me is due out later this year and is the result of their production work with Robert Harder of Babyshambles/ Whitey/ Bloc Party producer fame.

A visually provacative lead singer with the sharpest tongue in the west forms the forefront for one of the most exciting live bands in London right now with shows at Beach Club, Kill Robot Kill, 333 and Secret Door righ through to parties with Bloc Party and Kill All Hippies.

There's been broken instruments, electrocutions and near stampedes (okay i made that last part up), but regardless it's the lead singer the audience watches, mouth's a-gaping as she performs onstage acrobatics (wall climbing and gratuitous violence are par for the course) that gets the whole audience clapping and singing along.

Be-friend them on
MySpace and find out more about the band.
