B-A-N-A-N-A-S!

Gwen Stefani is touring Australia! And tickets are on sale this Friday. Playing in Sydney at Acer Arena (at Homebush) on Monday 30th of July. If the wind is blowing the right way, I might be able to hear it from my house.

Here's a remix I found a couple of weeks back care of the great citizens at PalmsOutSounds (check out the recent Remix Sunday.. so much Ozzsrtayan goodness in there and the ravetastic remix of Josh Wink!)

Gwen Stefani - Wind It Up (Kissy SellOut Remix)

Kissy SellOut is a guy from London with some amazing skills. He's remixed Mark Ronson's Version cover with Daniel Merriweather of The Smiths' 'Stop Me if You Think That You've Heard This One Before'.

"Daniel is Ed McMahon to Mark Ronson's Johnny Carson on Mark's excellent weekly East Village Radio show, Authentic Shit." I love Wiki, even though Daniel never says shit on the show!

I loved the original.. then I thought Ronson & Merriweather did fantastic work on remaking it.. I can probably say that the remix is easily my favourite track at the moment. (48.44 on the 9/3/07 Podcast!). I've heard the Dirty South version. Its not as good.

Its so money. Go to the Kissy SellOut MySpeez to hear it.
And get onto the Official Kissy Podcast.

Oink Oink!

Check out this pig above, that was recently born with two heads, or snouts, or whatever you'd like to refer to it as. His name is Choppy and his birth was hailed as a miracle and a good sign of fertility in China!

It is year of the Pig after all.

Actually, here's a good joke my friend told me the other day... he saw two police walking past two drunken bums slouched in a doorway in Kings Cross. As the police approached, one of the bums yelled out "Happy New Year". Apparently the 'pigs'... I mean 'cops', didn't take it too well.

Advantage Point to the Drunken Bums though.

Here's a recent mix from French wonder label Kitsune; The mix from 2005, which is a very concise 52 minutes is an instant classic. Featuring expertly woven tunes from Soulwax, Miss Kitten, Gwen Stefani and Scenario Rock's 'Skitzo Dancer'.

Incidentally 'Skitzo Dancer' is soon up for a re-release in Oz with some new remixes tagged onto it. Keep an eye out for it.
