So I still feel like it's about August 06 rather than Jan 07. Rock on March and possible holiday that isn't a long weekend.
So last night i got the call out - CSS private show @ Spectrum. Except they forgot to mention it was like a DJ selector style thang rather than a full on CSS onslaught, still though - never knock a gift horse in the mouth (as my mother would say); it was still fun to listen to the tunes they were pulling off their I-pods (so 2007) for dancefloor devastation.
CSS sold out Sydney's Bar Broadway, approx 450 - 500 peeps, on a Tuesday, 2 days after New Years. That alone should tell those that don't know who they are how hot this band are right now.
Download CSS's 'Let's Make Love & Listen to Death from Above'.
Bumblebeez
Bumblebeez are Modular's latest priority act. Their live show is like road kill - you can't look away, feel compelled to watch and yet marvel at the absolute horror you can't revert your attention from. This may sound bad - but it's not. It's one of the most self aware live show's that I've seen.
They're energetic, they're epileptic, they're hardcore, softcore, hip hop, dance, and rock all rolled into one. Even if you tried you still couldn't pigeonhole them.
Just don't call them black & yellow - it makes em nasty. (*boom, tish*)
